Sears Point in ICR2 - traction problem

by Alan Pengel » Fri, 15 Nov 1996 04:00:00

Hi

For a bit of fun I've started a championship season in ICR2
using some tracks from Nascar. Most of them really are quite
good (I love racing at Talladega, Atlanta and Pocono). However,
I'm having all sorts of problems with Sears Point. The problem is
traction (the lack of it). I'm sliding all over the place, even
with full wing. Is Sears Point actually as greasy as this - or is there
a bug in the software? It's a shame really, since the track layout
really is nice. But if it keeps up like this I'll have to remove
it from the calendar. On the otherhand, it may be me!

cheers

Alan

I have it also and I can beat the AI's car by 6secs!!!  No sliding for
me but the second corner and thats with the default setup?!?!?!?!
Try getting version 2 of the track converters from the Pit
http://www.theuspits.com   and then try it again.

Thanks,

Andrew.

I've done some actual track time at Sears Point, and it really is that
slippery.  the track is a series of very short, technical and vertically
changing turns.  It's exciting and challening, but it is not a good place
to crash.  If you ever watch Nascar or AMA Superbike racing, everyone is
sliding all over the place.
