Bernie said in the ITV interview that this would be the type of coverage
for all of next year on ITV (and therefore I assume the other "world feed"
channels).

He also said the other teams have to improve their game to challenge
Ferrari, that he would prefer to see a single standard tire for all teams,
and that the cars should have no electronics and reduced aero.

He pointed out that he personally, cannot do anything about these issues-
the only man who can act in such a way would be Max Mosley through the
safety agenda- everything else about the sport is down to the
teams/manufacturers, and would require their complete consent.

Of course, the usual muppets will still lay the blame for all F1s ills at
his feet.

It's a good thing the Cosworth had all that torque..they needed it
to get outta the way of the Ilmor/Daimler-Chrysler.  And the Bmw...and the
Ferrari...and the Honda....  :)

Interesting detail - I wondered whether it had been a TV crew linked to the
Indy circuit because although the fact that they were using Indy's own TV
installations as well (overhead and on-track cameras as well as a probably
perfect network of receivers for the in-car footage) certainly helped, but
the way they used their equipment somehow felt more like racefans doing the
job. There was more enthusiasm in the pictures that usually.

Niki Lauda said on German TV that Jaguar had had probs getting the tires to
work well under raceday temperatures, whereas they'd worked well in
practice.

The digital "bernievision" feed has always been like that the two
years i've had it. The use approximately twice the number of cameras
around the track than on the ***world feed. The editing is also a
lot more fast paced. A friend of mine had done some student tv work
and when he saw the F1 feed his jaw dropped.

I think everyone will be getting this feed from now on, so for those
of us who pay for the PPV coverage, the difference will be live
practice and qual, and all the additional channels. Norwegian national
tv still broadcast only one or two qual session a year, and all the
races from the american continet are edited down to a 25 minute program.
