They didn't say anything about if you pay with paypal you don' get the
code until they "process" your order. Idiots.

You must have an incredibly easy and worryless life, indeed, to air your
"frustrations" before so many people.

They didn't say anything... because they thought everyone was smart
enough to assume that was the case.  Apparently, they didn't count on
idiots ordering via Paypal.

Paypal was a method of payment. So I took it. What a fool I am for
buying a game. I should of just sticked to good old warez.

Chang,  the world if full of rip-offs and con-men etc.  Everytime I go to
the store, and write a check, they punch in my account number to see if I
have a 'history' of writing bad checks.  One of the main selling points of
debit cards is that the merchant can tell almost instantly if I have enough
funds to pay for an item.
Pay Pal was originally designed to be a 'safe' and 'trustworthy'
alternative to stolen credit cards and/or identity theft.  However, I think
it wouldn't take very long searching the net to find hundreds if not
thousands of Pay Pal scams.
So the fact the company that ISI contracted with to collect funds WAITS
til the transaction has been completed, does not suprise me in the least.
Remember, every financial security measure ever devised is in response to a
theft.  They don't sit around brainstorming possible ways we can steal,
they have a record in this or other businesses that clearly show we will
steal. Ebay didn't integrate pay pal when they first started.  Only after a
wave of credit thefts did a Third Party come forth with the idea of Pay
Pal.  I doubt Ebay would still be around if Pay Pal had not step forward.
Using Pay Pal shows you are not a fool, it shows you have or had
concerns about ease of payment and security.  So why lamblast ISI/Trimedia
for having the very same concerns?   In the end, you will receive your
product and be ready to race.  Would the delay in waiting for a Pay Pal
confirmation be any longer than ordering a disc via the mail?
As to wares.  Clearly one person using wares won't hurt ISI or any other
software company.  But the repeated use of flooding of such products will
destroy the marketplace for sims.  So unless you have some super-duper
racing sim almost coded and ready for sale...I urge you and others to
continue to support the people who CAN make these titles.  I know I cannot.

Works fine here. Must be your PC.

Just an idea but Rfactor doesn't play well with some antivirus programs.
Try disabling yours and then launch it again. I believe you have 48 hours to
decide whether you want it or not. Personally I love it. At first it is a
bit of a pain getting all the mods and tracks but it is well worth it in my
opinion. If you decide you like it email me and I will send you the links to
find all or at least most of the mods/tracks available. Remember, all pc
games have their quirks.

int2.gatech.edu:

Precisely!  Any security,  ANY Copy-Protection can be compromised by
persistant people.  But Pay Pal is a huge part of on-line comerce.  So any
company that wishes to remain a company is well served by taking whatever
additional steps they can.  If Trimedia holds on to your code for a day or
two...good for them.
Now if they***up and do not issue a code to a properly paying
user...THEN you have plenty of room to gripe and complain.

I am thinking about getting a refund.

The graphics aren't that great for one probably because of its old game
engine.

The physics aren't that great either... Unless your playing these games
with a wheel any jerky movements will send you into a spin even if you
didn't break that heavily. Pretty annoying.. I don't drive with assists
so everything is off. even ABS. but full breaking didn't lock the wheels
up immediately only after like a few seconds.. Thats kind of strange..

In the small NASCAR oval track.. Only there can a few *** drifts be
pulled off because of the banked roads.. or because I don't feel like
braking and then I see in the rear mirror a huge cloud of smoke. :) Hehe

Maybe if I have a wheel this game would be fun.. But right now with this
analoge controller its no fun at all.. Compared to RBR this track
driving is pissing me off. Although the AI is rather easy and nice. They
rather stop after you had an accident instead of going around you.. I
haven't had the AI spin me out so far unlike in Forza where they are
super aggressive.

After all these patches I didn't see that many improvements... And
online play where I have to go hunt for maps offline.. Haha! How
convenient.. And I payed for this game too.. :|

RBR + LFS Demo multiplayer is all I need for now..

After I get a wheel I might repurchase this game. But I doubt it because
I would probably spend most of my time playing RBR. :)

Anything you have to say about anything simracing related is now officially
USELESS, Chang.  Get a wheel then when you come back with something to
contribute you might have a semblance of credibility.

Though you may not be an official troll youre close enough that I dont want
to waste my time reading your (no wheel) nonsense.

Mitch
