In all modesty, I'm also for keeping it here where it belongs.

I prefer a mailing list *because* messages get sent to my inbox.  I can
download that mail along with the rest, and don't need another program to read
e-mail.  2 of my other leagues have gone to forum-based mail - I don't read
them anymore... :-(

We can't seem to win here...sigh.

Hmmm, interesting dilemma.  Perhaps we should look at the content of the
newsgroup charter.

We should discuss about this here, no? ;-)

I see your point, but damn...

Well, I guess I would object more to having to visit Yahoo! regularly.

I didn't mean we'd have to keep everything here to keep attention, but
announcing / advertising the races would have to be done regularly, IMO.

*** the charter.  We're *well* within the intended topic.

I just don't understand what the he** is happening with us lately. There's
been almost 30 of these races. Why are wes still acting like this is all a
mystery as to how it needs to be operated?

It's running fine. Add a couple of new rules (forced chat/no racing back to
line, which will eliminate a lot of incidents according to Ed's research).
Keep the RASCAR discussion inside just a few threads per week. If we really
need another forum, racesimcentral.com is already set up for us.

To those complaining about too many RASCAR threads, give me a damn break. I
used to see thread after thread about GPL races. Even races hosted by
Eldred. They didn't bother me even though I wasn't participating. If I
really didn't like them, all I had to do was take ten seconds and use the
filter option. You can do the same with RASCAR. Would of taken less time to
do that than it did to write your complaining posts. Some weeks there's only
a thread or two about RASCAR anyway, this week was just a one off.

You're double posting again... otherwise business as usual. Some people put
forward ideas, but would rather not actually work to see them implemented,
so...

RASCAR races will continue to run as Eldred sees fit and John will continue
to police the paintschemes, whereas I will as of now try to moderate
combattants and keep people from flaming those who express an honest opinion
so we don't get kicked off the group. As well as staying on your case, of
course... ;-))

Any questions?

I got a message immediately after sending my post saying my original post
was no longer on the server, so I resent it. Didn't know if it got to r.a.s.
or not.

No questions. Let's just do put the new rules in and stop talking about
what's going to happen at some mysterious point in the future. I feel like
I'm back in high school and everyone gets all worked up about the smallest
things and can't make the simplest decisions. This has been going on for
months now.

As much as I appreciate Eldred supplying the server, I'm not so sure though
that the races should necessarily be run as Eldred "sees fit". I don't even
think he is wanting to do things that way either. If I was supplying the
server, I wouldn't be making decisions on my own. I paid for a server to
start this thing off, and I was willing to run the first race as the group
wanted even then. The races should be run as the group wants, but it
shouldn't take forever to get a vote on certain issues. We should put an
issue forward, take a vote, and then move on.

Well, the 'league' is based ON RAS.  I think that makes us a bit different
than other 'leagues'.

I don't need another online account.  I can't keep track of what I have :)
