2 N4 Questions

Hi All,
After running every version of Nascar racing from the first up to N3, I
finally got a computer capable of running N4.
My first question is can the races be saved after the 3rd lap like the
previous versions. I run full seasons at 100% length and if I have to start
from the end of the previous session this may be too time consuming.
My 2nd question is about the force feedback wheel. I use a MS Sidewinder
force and I have to switch to optimized driver (which has no effect at all),
switch back to directinput driver and then reconfigure the wheel. If I don't
do this, my wheel has no resistance at all, making it nearly impossible to
drive. I tried running the software that came with the wheel but it hasn't
fixed the problem. The wheel works fine when I go through this, but it's
getting tedious.
Thanks in advance,
Tim

I can answer this one....NO.   There is no in-race save game feature.
Only  between sessions.
As for the Sidewinder, can't help ya there.  good luck.

Hmm, my Sidewinder hasn't got any of those problems - I turn 3-axis on in
the profile, use Direct Input (like you), max up to 100% on the FF, low
damping, etc, high linearity, and I'm all set.
Check to see if the fault's somewhere else?
Sorry I couldn't be of more help...

Have you checked to see if your player configuration file is read-only?
