Ferrari Wheel, off centre

Ferrari Wheel, off centre

by Andi Col » Sun, 26 Dec 1999 04:00:00

My Ferrari wheel is not centred. I first noticed it in RC2000 where I felt
the forces were more on one side than the other. However a quick spin at
Hochenheim showed the wheel to be centred a few degrees to the right. In
RC2000 the controller setup shows the red marker slightly to the left. If I
adjust it out by moving the dead zone the car is uncontrollable.

Any ideas how to set the wheel to a proper centre?

Andi.

Move it completly left - then completly right and put it in the center
again.. that's it...

Nope, doesn't work, still turns left when wheel is centred.

It's back in it's box waiting for Game to open. Then I think it's off to Mr
Logitech.

If you take a screwdriver to the wheel, you'll find a trimmer on the pcb
(the one that's closest to the gearstick) which will let you centre the
thing...  I may do a website + photos when I'm back in the office and can
borrow the digital camera...

Andi, you can center the wheel if you're willing to take the top cover off
and adjust the trimmer (small pot). Ut;s easy to do.
