im running win xp /1.4 athalon /geforce3
WoO sprint cars locks or reboots system when the game starts if i have
latest gforce drivers
i can get it to run ok with much older drivers but then all my other racing
sims lose frame rate.
anybody know how to fix this
ive tried 28.32 drivers and they still cause lockup/reboot problem - happens
on ALL ratbag games (dirt track racing, leadfoot, etc) - ratbag cant/wont
help..

Ratbag games are probably the worst game titles out there as far as
game/graphics D3D code goes. One thing that I have found is that if you have
anything over clocked it will cause great instability. The only way to run
Ratbag games steady is to use a 3DFX card. Someone involved with the
original DTR told me the game code is DX3 for graphics and DX5 for sound, or
maybe the other way around.

consider yourself lucky. I know of 4 people with GF3 cards and only 1 of us
can run either Ratbag game without any problems.

I had to switch to software mode on both DTR and DTR:SC when I went from a
voodoo3 to a geforce2. Nothing else worked, not even every nvidia driver
from 5.32 to 12.41 (I'm agreeing with MadDAWG).
