after using the tow of another car to make a Hot Lap in Monza, I went
into the replay function only to realize that my towing buddy was not
there anymore.
This could be a problem when submitting hot lap replays to be
acknowledged as a record on different sites as usely it is forbidden to
do so.

I had a similar problem... when I went to replay an accident, the car
I had hit wasn't there anymore, it was somewhere else!!! Cool bug!!

I have experienced loads of such problems. I was very impressed with the
realism of car damage so I spent a lot of time crashing into cars. I found
that the replay very often shows another version of what happend.

Sometimes my car almost flips over and the replay doesn't show even the
slightest twitch. I once ran into a car and broke it in two. The front part
was then hit by an oncoming car and it flew over my car. In the replay
the car was in one piece and flew in another direction (in the direction
the car that hit it!) In the "paused" screen I could still see the front
part*** from a crane.

The crash model has some flaws too. I went in the wronh directon on
Hockenheim to get the highest impact speeds. When I crashed, my car lifted
off and it flew at least a mile in the reverse direction. It really flew
like a glider!

Most of the time it's incredibly accurate though. I'm really glad it
doesn't have the "spin flag" of GP1. Where the car would just spin round
it's centre for seconds. It really bounces off on the wheel that hits the
ground first. It all looks really great. Also the detail of the cars: you
see the cannisters when you take off the nose, the plank when a car flies
overhead and best of all it shows part of the engine when you crack a car
in two pieces.

I hate the annoying and slow menu "system" and lack of network play. Also I
can't get the direct link to work. Why is it so difficult to get something
like that to set up easily. I can run fastwire in the same setup with no
fiddling with settings! But GP2 just doesn't connect. I find the linked
play feature really pathetic: no network, no parallel cable and worst of
all no autodetect (or just no working at all)

Unfortunately they only improved the drive model and not all the rest of
the program. All in all it is a great successor to GP1.
