Hi All...

Before I lay out my $$ this week on a new Soundblaster AWE64 for my new
system I'm building, just thought I'd double check to maker sure that
this card will support games older than it. i.e. N2, ICR2, GP2, etc???

Thanks Again...

If it worked before, it'll work again.. Just make sure you get the
Gold version instead of the Value version... I've heard it uses higher
quality stuff.. But, you may be able to find an SB AWE32 and a Yamaha
Daughterboard for a little more too.. Look around, listen up..

Yes, this is perhaps the MOST compatiable sound card available.  It
supports every game that has ever supported soundblaster sound (that spans
a number of years back).  It supports MS Directsound.  I can vouch for the
Awe64 Value edition (that's what I have) as a quality card at a very good
price.  The Gold edition doesn't add much for the added expense, especially
if you only use the card for games.  I highly recommend this card!
