Ive read alot of "reviews" so far on this "gamulation" (TM)

So Im going to throw out my opinion as well =)

I think the grade for this DEMO is B- to B.   The most important part
for me was this DEMO did not hinder my anxiousness for this release.  I
thought the demo was pretty enjoyable.  Not perfect, but not nearly as
bad as some made it out to be.  I also am NOT into arcade games, Im more
simulation oriented.

For those of you who said the physics suck and are totally arcade...  I
disagree and wonder if you have any real experience behind the
wheel??    Although I dont think the phyics are on par with GPL... I
think they are pretty good.

For the record...  my driving experience is SCCA Sports 2000,  Spec
Racers, a little GT-1,  and a little touring cars.   Ive driven Lime and
found the scenery to be very accurate.  Now the graphics are not cutting
edge but they are pretty good and accurate.

I keep reading about the "quick sand" grass and I have yet to experience
this.  Im wondering if some of you may not have found all the options
and still have the braking and acceleration help on ??  Just a thought.

Again... Im not going to sit here and say I thought this was an earth
shattering simulation and the best one on the market,  but I agree with
many of you who put it on par with Viper Racing (which I very much
enjoy!)

I dont like the computer controlled pitting.   The AI need to be more
competitive I think.  IE... faster.   I did like the way they dont just
pull over when you race them though.  I do like all the options for car
handling setup.

I cannot wait to get behind the wheel of the Mercedes though <VBG>

This is just my opinion and everyone is entitled to one.   If you dont
agree thats fine.  It just means you are wrong.  ;)  ROFL

Oh yea!  THIS SUCKS!  It has to go.  It was
one of the biggest annoyances for me - same as
in early CARTPR.

So hitting pause and changing what your going to get in the pits is
realistic?  Just a comparison to N2 and ICR2.  They both have their
annoyances.

I didn't mind it.  Its not realistic, but hey were are racing on a computer.
:)  Actually gave me a second or two to think about what needed to be
changed and do it w/o having to worry about running into something or
someone.  :)

Of course it is not, but it's a reasonable process
that doesn't detract from the driving aspect of
the sim.  SCGT does it the same way doesn't it?
It's a reasonable compromise - do you know of a
better way to set up for a pit stop?

N2 and ICR2 never take over control of the vehicle.
They are both different from the SCGT demo in that
regard.  I can think of no reasonable explanation
for _requiring_ the computer to control the car
while in the pits.  Just allow the option to
disable the feature - that' not much to ask.

I think the auto pitstop should be able to be turned off.  Some people like
it, some people don't, it's a matter of preference.

Since I guess that many people will actually want to do multiplayer with
SportsCar GT due to the nature of that type of racing (Enduro),  I would say
that an option would be a good choice.  An option can be turned on or off..
so no big deal if somebody doesn't like the idea ;)

As for N2.. on the NROS you can't pause your game, so all the changes you
will do for your pitstop (setup, tyre, damage, etc..) are done in real-time,
adding to the challenge.

What I find especially annoying about the computer controlled pitting is
that with a force feedback wheel (Logitech), the wheel starts steering
on its own. As if that isn't bad enough, the wheel slams into full lock
left when the car is parked in the pits.

You say - "Its not realistic, but hey were are racing on a computer."

And that's exactly what a sim should be aimed at making you forget. A
good sim will make you beleive your actually driving a car if it's good
enough.

  Current factors contributing to arcadyness

  1/ Sticky grass

  2/ Computer controlled pits

3/ ???????Dodgy physics?????????? (seems way too hard to lock brakes
or break traction under power to me)
