Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you
with experience...

I have to admit I didn't practice for the last two races because I've gotten
tired of practicing only to have the races ruined by freezes anyway. I made
some bios changes recently, and the last two races I've only had a couple of
freezes during yellows so maybe that problem is solved (almost anyway).

I'm going to practice some for Phoenix though since it's not a typical oval.

I won't make the Phoenix race either.  MoG is racing at Watkins Glen...

one last note about my freezes Dave,  With any of the ISI sims/mods, I can
heavily overclock my GF3 vid card and run carefree online sessions for
hours.  If I run N2k2 with any OC I get a lockup within minutes.

We're gonna have some troubles here, and I think the 'kink' is going to be a
handful.

I do not like how the car feels coming through this section.  The front-end
feels like it is 'floating', and to go fast you have to do it so it
'floats'right out to the wall.

I see problems in the kink where cars that are up high try to keep from
going low and hitting a car under them, and end up hitting that damned wall.
Or, they mis-judge the kink and drive the low-line car down into the grass
at the kink apex.

The 'kink' bothers me :)

The rest of the track is fine.

Hmm, what kind of steering lock are you using on the fast setup? -I don't
seem to have that vaguenessproblem there. Side by side is not possible
without a feather on either line, IMO, but as to not being able to judge
where it's going to go I, personally, don't foresee many problems.

Pay more attention to your linerity than wheel lock.

I think the problem Larry's referring to is that it's difficult to see the
inside edge of the track at the kink.  If you take an outside line, you're in
the wall before you realize it.  If you take an inside line to avoid the wall,
you clip the grass, and slide out to the wall on exit anyway.  I have that same
problem every lap, just about.  Nothing to do with steering lock or linearity,
but simply the apperance of the turn itself.
