GPL choppy frame rate in 1280x1024

Last night I overclocked my V3 2000 to 165 Mhz.
That boosted frame rate to almost solid 36 and helped a lot  with
chopping but not enough. It is still present. So back to
1024x768. It's unfortunate cos in 12x10 looks almost like real thing.
Thx all for trying to help. I'm shure your remarks will help somebody
else.

For reference, my system:
AMD 900
V 3 2000
SB live value
LWFF
Asus A7V

Is this during race with other cars?  I have a similar problem but only
during testing, so I don't worry about it too much.

Although my system differs greatly from yours, I do have an AGP V3 3000.

Less during testing more during race.
Problem is in my AGP V3 2000, because when I overclock
it there is less chooping. It is probably not because of
processor speed, but I think it is card memory, which I think is
better in V3 3000.

The  2000  and  3000  have  the  same  amount  of  memory,  16mb.

If I remember corectly 3000 memory is of better quality.
I think 2000 memory cannot stand higher Mhz like 3000.

Memory on V3 2000 is rated to 143MHz, but V3 3000 has 166Mhz memory
so there is big difference.

In those days (two years ago ) it was dificult to achieve that speed.
Even today you only have PC-133. So 143 was of cheaper brand
and slower.165 was some quality brand, and faster regarding some
other caracteristics ( I'm not expert, but I think it had faster access
time or something like that).

I don't see that resolution in options menu.
We're talking here about GPL and dfx.
