Nurburgring, Jan 1 - 9am eastern.  Full-length, full-damage.  Look for the
epickett4 server.  40 minute practice session.  See you there!

Just out of curiosity, I checked Eldred's time at the ring on GplRank
- 8:23!

I guess I have to find another 4 seconds somewhere... :)

I think it will be easier to find 0.023 seconds in each of the 174 turns.

I assume practice starts at 9:00 and the race at 9:40?

This brings up an interesting point.  I had the very same problem
with people (mostly the euro guys) when I posted a race start time
for IGPS.

I never did understand what was so hard to comprehend about posted
race times. The server opens at 9am eastern with a 40-minute
practice.  If you want to race, show up at 9am eastern on VROC.
Everyone should show up as close to 9am as possible in order to a)
guarantee a spot on the grid, and b) turn at least one out lap and
one practice lap for time.

I'm honestly not trying to be abrupt or rude, but sheesh...

Well, I've seen leagues where the time mentioned was when the race STARTED.  I
had to bypass a monday night Nascar league because of that.  They said the race
started at 9:30.  I thought they meant for practice, and with a 30 minute
practice session I could get home in time.  Nope - the GREEN dropped at 9:30...
So different people mean different things...

I kinda fell out of sim racing about a year ago.  But back then, I really
don't remember so many people here being so lacking in patience.  What
happend to RAS?

Nah, that's just John having to tolerate the "euros" :)

In fact he's mellowed - believe me!

No, that's just me tolerating humanity as a whole... :)

I finally got around to placing an order for a dose of tolerance and
it got here late on Monday.  It didn't look promising (it was in a
tiny brown bottle with no markings), but I promised the wife I'd at
least give it a shot.  I was kinda hoping it would have kicked in by
yesterday, but I guess not.

I believe the Italians have developed a stronger variant :)
