GP2 Car flip

GP2 Car flip

I saw a most incredible sight while driving at Adelaide today with 1994
drivers. Perhaps this is old news for ras people who have been playing gp2 for
a while. Blundell's right front hit the left rear of the car ahead of him near
the first chicane after the cars got off the start. The car jumped up straight
into the air almost perpendicular to the ground, went on its side doing an
horizontal flip in the air before landing right side up on the track pointing
toward the side of the track. Got some great views from alboreto's car who was
right behind him. Man, what a rush. felt like i was really there.

But then came the weird part. Most cars behind blundel avoided damage. Only
alboreto broke his front wing. After all that flipping blundell had only one
damage on his front wing. Everything else was intact. He went into the pits
and then both he and alboreto where out of the pits in just 7 seconds. Extent
of damage to blundell and the time to fix it were both unbelievable. The cars
do seem a bit "***y" during such crashes.

I had the same kind of experience when my friends car was chopped in half
at Hockenheimring. The engine still puttering beind him. Then I found this
incredible site:

Khyrone's GrandPrix 2 Page
The unofficial GP2-Crash-Site

<SNIP>

Are you sure it flipped as in =-> then | then \ then <-= ?

(get it?)
I mean, I've never seen GP2 display ANY car that is UPSIDE down.. as if the 3d
engine doesn't allow complete tumbling of the cars...

Is that what you are talkign about? If yes please also let me know via email..
I really would LOVE to know that GP2 can TURN cars upside down.
