GP2 won't allow SVGA

by Jocely » Sun, 13 Dec 1998 04:00:00

Hi guys,

I just reinstalled GP2 on my most recent machine, p2-350 w/128ram,
AGP8mg + Voodoo2 (not for GP2!)...
Everything is fine, now that I've installed the #&&## DOS drivers for
sound & CD...So I can go thru Windows or DOS reboot... But like the
title says, I can't have SVGA mode... the button is greyed out &
disabled... Any ideas on how to fix that? I already had <25fps on my
other machine (p-133) in VGA...

TIA,
Jocelyn

This means that GP2 can't detect VESA 2.0 drivers. Try the UNIVESA utility.

It's an onboard SIS626 8mg AGP w/3D
I heard it's incompatible with GP2...
Confirmation someone?

Try the command line:

GP2 video:vesa

it might work.

type GP2 /?
for a list of command line stuff.
