ICR2>NR99 Track converter

I have the demo version (3 tracks) of Dave Noonans converter to
take tracks from ICR2 to N2/NR99. Does the full version convert
all the tracks?  I have mailed the US pits about it but have
heard nothing yet.  What is the story with this converter and
why isn't it on the web site?

Yes the convertor converts all the icr2 tracks to N99 capability.
and from there you can update them with another pits patch to work
with N3.  But the reason the convertor is not up on the web site is
complicated.
first, they charge money for it.  $15.  If they allow everyone to
dload it, then the chances are, not too many people will pay for it.
2nd.  You get more than one convertor.  Included is another convertor
that takes the N99 tracks and allows ICR2/Cart users to run the winston
cup ovals.
3rd.  Dave/Jan put a-lot of effort into the project and want to make
sure that other 3rd parties don't profit from their/(his?) efforts.
Sadly Jan has never been quick to respond to emails.  Try going to the
tptcc site and logging on to the emessages forum.  You might get his
attention there.

You are very correct Dave, and the reason Jan is a bit slow to respond
to e-mail is the amount of e-mail that he's getting...

If there was any justice in this world, people like him would have more
than 24 hrs in a day :-)

Btw, Jan is now away on some work related stuff (some people need to
adjust their priorities :-) so chances are it will take longer than
usual, he should be back in another 2 weeks or so Chris, try again then,
if you don't get any response, let me know and I'll see what I can do...
