Well I emailed a guy from 3DFX and this is what he mailed back about
this......

I know of no such announcement.  Here are the facts as stated in this
newsgroup:

1) Papyrus is a Total Immersion developer and we have visited with them.
2) They are very impressed with Voodoo Graphics and Glide.
3) Sierra has said they will support Voodoo Graphics with their titles.
4) We want it.  They want it.  You want it.
5) We've placed a patch on high priority with us.

All this being said, nothing has been announced.  We really want a patch
because YOU really want a patch.  And we're working hard at making it
happen.  Rumors are fine but there is NO announcement.

>>Well this is great news for all 3d accelerater owners. It's been anounced that
>>3DFX is doing a Nascar 2 port by an in-house official.

>Yes, good news, but, I prefer ICR2 and would like to see a 3DFX port of
>that too. They both use the same graphics engine so see no reason why
>they can't do both at the same time.

No, they do not use the same graphics engine. (N2's graphics engine
was re-written from the ground up...)

I'd confirm and agree with Michael's summation 100%. The Rendition 'eye
candy' is fresh cream on an already exquisite cake.

My personal experience has been similar in N2. From 22fps using a 2Mb
60ns EDO AOpen S3 765 V+ and SDD 5.3 VESA 2.0 (with all detail on) to
30fps with an Intergraph Reactor (with all detail on) constant using DMA
and their drivers ..with an Intel P5-133!

Best bang for buck *** video performance improvement you can attain,
and beats a CPU upgrade by far in both terms of *graphics* performance
and $ value.

>ICR2 & N2 look pretty good on my P5-133 at max SVGA detail. In fact from

Then you most certainly don't know what your missing! I have both
(VooDoo and Verite) running on a P-133. There again I say "You have no
idea what your missing!". So I guess your happy. BTW, you can get a
Intergraph Intense 3D card for about $150.00.
