FASTLAP 97 V1.05 Minimum!!!!

by Don Wilsh » Sat, 30 Aug 1997 04:00:00

Drivers:

Fastlap 97 will only POST version 1.05 FASTLAPS attempts.

I apologize for anyone that has made attempts with Versions 1.00 through
1.04, but the high time limits made ultra fast laps possible with ones
ability to drive backwards up the track to heat the
tires.

We will delete all attempts prior to 1.05 very very soon.

We believe this action was necessary and we hope the people that posted
results on all the tracks are not upset with us.

We don't forsee any other major flaws in NASCAR2 that require us to
delete the database
 again.

We believe that version 1.05 minimum will be good for the rest of the
year. We will
have a new version out soon, but that will only add tracks. We plan to
add all the
FANTASY, INDYCAR 2, and BUSCH TRACKS but plan to use the 1.05 base time
limit.

Prior programs did not report the actual time used otherwise we could
have used the old
times...

Thanks for your support!!!

It sure makes the playing field level... Thanks to Dave Martin for fixing
the bugs on 1.04 , I wasn't gonna run fastlaps if I had to reinstall N2 14
times again, but this one seems to be working fine. I encourage all of
those thinking about running fastlaps to do so cause it's fun and
challenging and there just has to be some other fast guys out there, so
bring it on people.
