From now on, you only get to see it live if you have British Eurosport
(which I don't!). Otherwise all you get is a midweek highlights show...

>Thanks for the large and obvious 'SPOILER' tag on the title of your
>message...

Hmmm - If you don't want to know the result it's probably a mistake to
read a message titled "Today's CART race!", don't you think?

Having 'SPOILER' in the header would have allowed by OLR to tag it
differently so I didn't automatically read it...

With hindsight, yes.  However, there is nothing saying that the post was
necessarily going to declare the result of the race.

Well, they obviously sold enough copies of ICR1 to make a sequel......?

Arrrrgggghhhhhh, the horror of it all, and then Harald Huysman as expert
commentator, I can't take it anymore

Best they've done so far, was in Aus with Atle Guldbrandsen (?) and
Terje Schie

Yeah, never drove much of the CART sims, but the series is very good on
TV, especially with guys like Zanardi, Montoya, Franchitti and (hate to
admit it :-) Andretti, that knows how to race and overtake, great show

Yes, I think that was a reply to the "public outcry" (hey, there was at
least 3 of us :-) after they acquired the exclusive rights, but seemed
to have not intentions of making the sim....guess only time will
tell....

Beers and cheers

If you saw a fenced yard with a sign on the gate saying "Beware of the Dog",
would you just blindly walk in?

I getting a bit bored of this, but to answer your question, Bruce, I would
not 'blindly walk in'.

All I asked (maybe I was a little sarcastic in my original post) is that
an obvious 'SPOILER' tag be put on messages.  In my defence, there is a
lot of stuff that could have been in the original message, titled as it
was, without giving the result away, e.g.

"Did you see the way a few of the cars managed to collect themselves
before hitting the wall, why can't I do that in ICR2?"

"With all the engine retirements, it was like they were playing F1 2000"

etc, etc...

Anyway, I think I made my point, I'll not be mentioning it again.

Cheers,

Steve.

How does your OLR know if you've seen the race or not? :-)

It doesn't know if I've seen the race or not, but if it sees the word
'SPOILER' in the subject it marks it as read, and tags it.  That way I
don't open it by accident as I move from message to message.

Cheers,

Steve.

So you won't see this then....?
