PII 350  Win98
ensoniq sound card
64 mb sdram
ATI RAGE PRO turbo agp2x 8mb sdram
Microsoft force feedback joystick

Problem is sound wont work . Tried set up program autodetect and choose it
Works fine when you test it and hear the guy say " Yes indeed - 10-4 " but
after intro finishes when game is first started makes a loud screetching noise.

Also joystick doesn't work at all. Works fine in all other games. Please help
ASAP as I am dying to play the game on the new system. How do I get best
graphics results with this video card"? Should I run the rendition version?
Thanks . Help is appreciated.

The screeching sound is because you autodetected your sound card. The
Audio PCI did not exist when N2 was released, so naturally it can not
be properly detected. Set your sound in the sim as Sound Blaster
stereo, Address 220, IRQ 7, DMA 1 if that doesn't work, try using an
ITQ of 5.

As far as the joystick problem goes, first make sure you install the
patch from Sierra's web site. If it still doesn't work, try playing
the game in DOS mode and see if there is a way to force the stick into
an analog mode. If all else fails, the latest version of the
controllers drivers will let you map keystrokes to the axes and
buttons of your joystick when playing in the Windows environment.

You can not run the Rendition version of N2 because you do not have a
Rendition based video card..
