Are we going to be running at Spain this weekend? I can only manage a
1:23...need a better setup me thinks but no ones responded to my other
thread.

I haven't seen any other thread about the RASF1 race this week.  Maybe your
server dropped it?

I'll host this week, no password.  Let's see if we can get some more people in
the race.  Only two of us showed last week, and that's ridiculous.  If people
don't want to run, I'll stop wasting my time.  At least against the AI I can
turn down their skill so I don't have to run last all the time.

What time are you guys racing? I've ran with you guys during last season,
but haven't been around this season because of lack of time. I might try to
drop by this weekend if you guys are doing an open race.

I just sent you a setup that I ran a 119.9 with. Hope it helps. You'll
probably have to turn down the wheel lock setting though. Depends on how you
have your controller set up within the game.

Hi David:


    If someone could also send the tire sounds from
GTR 2002, I might hear something before my tires
let go.  Right now there is zero audible feedback
as I approach their limit.

It was about a setup for barcelona actually. But anyways, I might not be
able to make the race...just woke up to watch the F1 race and I'm tired as
hell...I'll see how awake I am after the race.

    Two minutes to RASF1 opening, and F1RST is displaying
weird stuff.

    Mike P. at F1RST helped me load new registry values.
Things look almost normal.  I didn't have the green "F1RST"
button at the upper left of the display.  No profile, no
fun.

RASF1 this week?

This was the last F1 race I host for a while.  No password, and we only had
about 8 drivers total.  The server didn't cycle through sessions like it
normally does.  I'm not sure why.  My best practice time was only a 1:30, a
full 10 seconds slower than the leaders.  One guy even asked if we all used
wheels to drive, as he was using a keyboard.  This guy ran a 1:23 - *seven*
seconds faster than I could.  Just great...

In desperation, I switched TC to high for the race.  That actually made me
slower - I don't think I broke 1:40 at all.  During one of the early laps, I
get totally bulldozed by one of the random people named Yoda.  As I was fuming
about that, I tried to spin back the right way.  I couldn't spin it
enough(sounds like the RASCAR race), and I ended up crossing the track in front
of Stuart, I think.  Sorry, man... :-(

It doesn't do me any good to run in these races anymore.  I'm not getting any
enjoyment out of them whatsoever.  Since I can't schedule servers like N2k3, or
set them for remote access like VROC, I won't be hosting anymore.  Considering
the low turnouts, someone on cable should be able to host no problem.
I give up.
