I'm impressed by my Thrustmaster wheel!

I have had my Thrustmaster Formula Pro wheel for around 9 month now, used it
around 300 hours in GPL, stick shifting all 300 hours and no springs, contacts
or potentiometers has broken yet. There are no glitches or anything.

This wheel is very good and with it and in the red car I do 1:28s at Monza,
1:28s at Silverstone and 1:05s at Watkins.

Thrustmasters support is also very good. I sent them an email at the end of -98
telling them how much I drive and that I've used Thrustmaster wheels (four
actually) since 1995 and asked if they could send my springs and potentiometers
in advance, so I have them when I need them. They sent me all of that and a
bungee cord for the steering wheel, all at no charge, and I live in Sweden.

/Christer, with some sort of review I guess :o)

Of course, I have a GP1 and it's great... about a year old now I think, no
repairs and no problems!

Same here, although probably not quite that much use.  My NASCAR Pro never
has any problems, other than a balky return spring in the shifter that seems
to have worked itself out after I took it apart and reseated everything.

It did seem to be very shaky in GPL, but turns out it was my soundcard's
much vaunted gameport that was the problem, and has been cured with the
purchase of a Soundblaster Live, REAL smooth now.  I should get all the
replacement stuff from TM just in case.  I do though think I'm doing
something wrong since mine doesn't break like all these other folks. :-)

I dont have any complaints about my Thrustmaster Sprint either.  Ive only had
it for 3 months now but its seen some heavy use.  I use it for GPL, ive run
several full distance races in N2, and half a season in GP2 and havent had any
problems what-so-ever.  I also give kudos to their tech support beause i had
some problems getting my games to recognize the wheel and they provided great
help in getting it to work.
