So how about it is there ANYONE in this NG with enough knowledge to explain why
this guy can barely run it and a lot of us can't get it to run at all???
Enough of this "Must be something wrong with your system" Crap....with this
guy's setup that's a given but how about some clues people!!!!???

There's nothing wrong with his system. It's because he's running
with 4xFSAA.

Even Nascar 3 was a new graphics engine over Nascar 2. They just look
similar.

I was going to mention that, but didn't want to start a holy war.

You've got a problem somewhere.

I'm running an Athlon 800, with an original GeForce DDR (Anni-Pro), and I'm
pulling 30-50fps and the only thing I've turned down is the 'World' setting
to about 40%.  I even have the mirrors on full, which is the biggest fps
eater I've found.  Running 1024X768X16.

Do you have FSAA on?  It's on by default in most drivers.  I don't use it as
I don't see enough benifit for the performance loss.

You got some tweaking to do.  I should NOT be beating your system in the FPS
war.

claiming this...

It's the P4.  http://www.emulators.com/pentium4.htm

Until Intel optimizes N4 for Papy, I'd stay away from the P4.

I would totally agree with that statement.  Nascar 4 is very good, just the
graphics in Heat are better with better framerates.

I would say they need a better graphics engine then, because Nascar Heat has
better graphics and higher frame rates.

Higher framerates - yes.
Better graphics - subjective ( I think they look to cartoonish for my
tastes).
