You must have also followed my advice about unticking the axis force
mapping box. When I got home and tried this it didn't work (I lost all
FF like you), so it looks like there is no current solution to the
pulling left issue.

So, to recap:

Make sure DirectX7a is installed.
Make sure the "map X to Y forces" box is ticked.
Live with the left pull (for now)

Hi,

Well...I checked the threads about FF not working and did the "axis-thing"
like you suggested. It didnt work.

But this morning it works?!!!!!! Now the really strange part: Now I really
understand why people are screaming about the "left-pull" of GP3's
FF.....With DirectX 7, there was NO left pull.....Forces worked as they
should....Banks and curves when right through the Wheel as it should....

Nut now with DirectX 7a I have the mentioned left-pull, AND curves doesnt
work either....So it looks like a DirectX / GP3 error? If I'm right it
should be fairly easy to make a patch....lets hope..

Anyways, thx Rob

The MS wheel does chew up a fair bit of CPU time. No where near as
much as the ill-fated Thrustmaster FF wheel, but much more than the
Logitech wheel.

Just a though here, I may be way off the mark, but could it be that GP3
is modelling the torque of the engine when you say it pulls to one side?
Or does the pulling to one side occur all the time?

You know what I mean, the way the engine tries to twist when it is
revved hard, and the car veers to one side when you floor the throttle?

I don't have FF so am only guessing....

Torque steer is evident on front-wheel drive cars, but F1 cars are rear
wheel driven.

Jason.
