TOCA or TPTCC

I have TPTCC and so far I like the AI (though I haven't been able to save my
setups -- but that's in another message).  I also tried the TOCA demo and had 2
criticisms: 1)  Frame rate seemed awfully slow on my P166 3dfx, and 2) there
was an AWFULL LOT of contact between cars resulting in LOTS of off track
adventures.  The question is this:  Which is more realistic AI, TPTCC or TOCA?
TPTCC certainly FEELS more realistic, but I haven't seen touring cars on TV, so
I don't really know.  Comments please?  Which is generally preferred by drivers
here in the newsgroup?

TOCA or TPTCC

Personally, I prefer The Pits' TPTCC patch over TOCA...It's mainly a
matter of available features in N2, to that of the other.  TOCA's
driving characterisics seem much closer to Touring Cars than TPTCC
however, because the real cars squirt-around like little banshees.

TOCA's cars don't have much in the way of a damage model, and crashing
still keeps one almost as competitive as if not damaged.  Not very
realistic IMHO.

Being able to customize the cars in N2's version is also has great
benefits, and jsut about any carset, utility, etc., designed for N2
will work with TPTCC.

While TOCA is fun and interesting, TPTCC wins hands down.  =)

Cheers!

Marc

TOCA or TPTCC

Hi, I picked up TOCA last weekend, and I got it for I reason only, well besides
the fact that I'm a Volvo nut, TOCA is a fairly realistic game ( NOT a sim )
that you can just sit down and drive. It's great after work to just come in and
drive real fast for a while, and then I have the patience to sit and***
around with the insane menues in F1RS!
