and it has made a world of difference.
The game itself is a lttle gem, far from perfect but with enough nice little
touches to place it quite high up my list of games to enjoy.
The graphics are smooth, but the option screens are a little ragged. The in
car view has to be the best so far, with constant bumping and banging the
view starts to become really tiring after only a minute or so, adding to the
realism. The tracks have ditches and stones, and the ability to actually
turn the car over or total it into a tree is much appreciated.
Spectators run out of the way - quite a shock when you round a bend for the
first time to see 20 or 30 of them in the road begin to sprint for safety.
Fault wise, the co-driver is a bit weak, poor commentary, and I have a weird
feeling that the car is travelling at about 30mph faster than the speedo
says, although that could be a processor issue I guess.
If you find a copy ( a fiver on a budget release) it's weel worth the fun -
but beware of any graphic card driver issues like I had earlier.
