Which is what you just did to myself?

Forgive me then Bruce, but i am genuinely interested in where this $1000
figure came from.

Did i say last for ever?

If you are going to be spending in the same price range as force feedback and
standard wheels, then the qualtiy of wheels you will afford will most
certainely slacken during the life of the wheel. Motors are most likely to go
belly  up one day completely. I certainely would not think that is a likely
occurance for the next 2-3 years or so, and if they last that time, i'm happy.
