SCGT has spurred a TON of add-ons, ranging from cars to dashes to tires, but
I can't find a single setup on the Web.
GPL, on the other hand, has quite a few sound and graphics add-ons, but
there are also a TON of setups to be found, along with hotlap files, car
setup "bibles," etc.
This leads me to the conclusion that while GPL mainly appeals to drivers and
racers, SCGT seems to be more the customizer's delight -- and I wonder what
the average ratio of driving to customizing is in SCGT? Considerably less
than in GPL, I would guess.
Just an observation . . . <G>

I have to agree with you 100%. Maybe if the setups for SCGT were
actually savable, it would be different, but I doubt it. I have to
admit, though, it would be -very- cool if the car shapes, dashes, etc.,
in GPL, were as modifiable as in SCGT.
Can you imagine that?
Gimme a 70's prototype carset. I'll take the 917.

Where are your setups?
