Count me in with DC's McLaren!  What days/times are we racing?

Spudster.

I'm guessing that eventually there will be more members than individual
cars. If more than one Coulthard McLaren can be on the grid in a multiplayer
race, does it matter if people sign up for a car that has already been
chosen by someone else? It would be nice if there is as much variety as
possible on the grid (especially if all cars are set to same performance
level), but new sign ups should know now if they can choose whatever car
they want.

BTW, I'm pretty sure Brian Farmer and Ginger might want to get in on this.
Where are you guys? :-)

Please sign me up for the Coulthard McLaren.  Have to be loyal to my parent
company and all, ya know.  I really need to know times and dates before I
can commit for sure, though.  Also, if you guys figure out how to set all
cars equal then how about also using the Fidelity thing to open up all four
years worth of teams/drivers (I think that's what it does, right?)?  If that
does work then I want Mika's McLaren instead.  :o)

OK, I've made a simple page for these driver signups:

http://members.tripod.com/pedx1ng/rasf1/

Looks like both Spudster and Haqsau want DC's McLaren.

We need to decide how we are going to handle this.  Is it that there is
only one allowable person per car, or is it OK to have duplicates?  Having
only one person per car will make it easier to distinguish drivers on the
track.

Also, we need to keep in mind that the max. that we can get on the grid (if
the connections are good, and that's a big if at the moment), is 21,
because that 22nd slot will be used by the Server (pseudo-dedicated).  So,
are we limiting the roster to 21, or allowing it to balloon over that,
since it's unlikely that turn-out would be 100% for a given race anyway?

Just more food for thought.

Have you not been paying attention?  F1C is mucho improved in regard to
field size.  With the right host, a mid ***s pack should be do-able.  The
really fast hosts, sitting on comercial grade phone lines, have done lag
free 22 car races.  Still not Papy, but much better than F1 2002.

In order of preference:   (don't know if we can mix seasons...?)

1) Heidfeld's 2000 Prost  (yeah, I know... but He!!, I'm a Cubs fan, too  ;o)

2) Frentzen's 2001 Jordan

3) Salo's Toy if it has to be a 2002

I was wondering if all the cars had to be from the same year... would give us
a lot more choices, huh?

Just got back into town, thanks for asking  ;o)

Two people can physically join, qualify, and race using the same car.  The
problem is if they pit at the same time.  Don't ask how I know that...<g>

I currently have the server set to use McNish's Toyota, but since it won't be
on the track, that shouldn't be a problem.
