Differences between MGPRS2 demo and full copy

by Chris Hoo » Thu, 05 Nov 1998 04:00:00

If anone can answer me,

I'ld like to know how different the demo of MGPRS2 is from the final
produciton version?

Personally, I don't see much difference - when using the demo - between
MGPRS2 and F1RS - a game I've played alot.

The physics don't seem to be overwhelmingly improved, the graphics and
sound seem exactly the same (hopefully the full version of MGPRS2 takes
advantage of a Voodoo2 SLI configuration - aka 1024x768).

Just to let you know, I've had a few other people watch the demo and try
it and also found little difference between the old and new versions of
F1RS.

Hopefully, my impressions are based upon a demo that does not at all
represent the full version of MGPRS2.

thanx for any info...

Nothing in the final version is overwhelmingly better. It just adds up to a
worthwhile upgrade - if you liked F1RS you'll want MGPRS. If you didn't,
well MGPRS won't persuade you! Re SLI support, it doesn't enable 1024x768.
I've played MGPRS at 1024 with a Banshee (slow). We're not missing THAT
much. Ubisoft tell me that support may or may not appear in a patch -
depends how easy it is to implement.
