Will....

Some questions...you can answer to yourself:

What programs have I installed recently....that could be causing this

which could have corrupted or overwritten your OE program...but is not
compatible, version wise, with yours?)

Did my OE news account "settings" get changed by some program I installed
recently?

Are you running Windows ME?  OE doesn't work very well in it.

Try downloading and installing the latest version of Internet Explorer, 6.0
beta.  Its really not much of a beta...but adds tons of new functionality
that I find works great.  Included...is a new Outlook Express...Version
6.0...with lots of new stuff.  At least, you'll know your OE isn't
corrupted.

problems with their news downloads......or if you can get them to subscribe
to RAS for you....and download a set of headers at the same time as you do
it........and yours are coming up short, well, that tells you its a software

your node, complain like hell...everyday.....or, switch to another one in

"domain name" server for the alternative server...plump it into your TCP/IP
as an "alternative" gateway.  Its a piece of cake.  (I can get email from an

Another thing you might try...is to uninstall Outlook Express.....(use
Add/Remove Programs)....then go into "System Info".....click on the "Tools"
header and choose "Update/Repair Internet Explorer".....that will reinstall
a fresh OE for you.  You'll have to re-setup your news and email
accounts....but use the wonderful MS Wizards....let them do it!

I'm out of ideas.......

>blows?  So far I've seen 2 people who seem to have no problems with it, but

Because your ISP is only pulling in feeds from a few sources. I had
this problem with an ISP once and that was the reason why. To get all
posts showing they must use mutliple feeds. Lot's of big ISP's figure
Usenet is not used by the mainstream and therefore do not allocate the
resources needed to it.

described! You pay for it so you deserve to have it & have it all in
correct working order! Remember they always "oil the squeekiest
