GPL: Pit board question

I've also had experiences online with the 1.1 patch where the "Paper"
would show the wrong track.  Anyone else have this happen?

% And don't ever have the misfortune to start from the pit lane. You will only
% register your first lap after the end of your third lap if your pit stall
% happens to be in front of the start line. This effectively puts you a lap
% down and hence effectively out of the race.

And since Papy (hopefully that is) is patching the patch, I would like
to see this fixed.

I saw the Ascari pitboard once at Monza in GPL 1.0.

In GPL 1.0 there was the following problem: sometimes the green button
failed to appear, and I had to disconnect from the server. If I immediately
reconnected without quitting GPL entirely, the car setup would always show
Zandvoort (but still contain the correct values, only with nr of laps
calculated for Zandvoort), AND the pitboard would be misplaced. I'am quite
sure that it was placed at the same spot as Zandvoort (same distance from
start/finish). In Rouen that was about Beauval/Gresil (back end of the
track).

The 1.1. readme states that the green button problem has been fixed now.
Maybe the setup/pitboard effect is still there in some form.

Wow!!
You REALLY were taken back in time, Randy!! :o)
Or is that a hint that a 1950s "pack" is coming for GPL???

Once online my boardguy positioned himself at the entrance to Curva
Grande...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRACK!!!!!!!  So I basically ran through him
every lap...though the first time I saw him I mistook him for a stalled car,
and, well...  Considering the speeds you get at the end of the front
straight at Monza I hardly had time to read the sign before (if you could
really hit the people in GPL) he would become a large red spot on the
pavement (carmageddon anyone?).

Your comedian pit board guy (and his sidekick the pit stall guy) have
been fired for their shenanigans.  You're likely to find them in a
comedy club near you.

In other words, it's a bug that started showing up with comforting
regularity when people started running dedicated race servers.  I
believe I've found it and killed it.

I once had the pit board guy standing in the middle of the track, about 500
yards past the start, at Monza. I had to run him down 15 times during that
race <g>
