When I bought my T2 I didn't think NFS worked with a steering wheel. Then
I was watching Computer Chronicles on TV and they had a segment about
games. The rep demoing the game was using the steering wheel so I figured
it was NFS SE. I was dying to buy the SE version just because of that,
but I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work with the original version.
Also, I didn't want to spend another $40 for a game that has a couple
extra tracks and a change in color gamma for weather and time of day. So
I persisted with the original game. I finally looked at the NFS box and
found that it did indeed supported the steering wheel....but how?
Well, I'm happy to say I'm able to use my T2 now and it's a BLAST! I've
come in first with tracks that I didn't think I had any chance of
winning. So how did I do it? Well, there's a doo-dad that comes with your
T2 so that the steering wheel and pedals worked as one joystick. Now go
into your game and control setup. Choose steering and it should say
keyboard. Click on that and it should say choose input device or
something like that....I'll finish this after I try it out. I forgot, but
yes it's possible to use your steering wheel.

Okay, I'm back. In your control setup highlight steering and press the
SPACEBAR and choose joystick. For acceleration and braking do the same.
Then calibrate your wheel, brakes and accelerator. That's it!
HAVE FUN!!!

Yes - it seems so. You can change the axes with a suplied tool (jcu.exe).
But I haven't tried it.
