friendly track editor that everyone could learn to use in 5 mins flat,
in a slightly less perfect world David Noonan (or someone else) would
have put together a less user friendly editor that 50% could use in a
day or two, as it is now, it's all about manual labor and "black art"
tools that probably only the creator of the tools an a select few could
ever have a hope of learning how to use, and rather than spend their
entire time answering e-mails about how to use them, they put out tracks
for us to enjoy...
But then again, in a perfect world, Papy would have used the GPL engine
in N3, David Noonan would have finished his GPL<->N3<->NL<->N2<->ICR2
converter, "The Pits" would have put out a TPTCC/AussieV8 patch a few
days after the release of N3 (because Papy had recognized the value of
having sites such as Sim***world and The Pits doing aftermarket
add-on's and released valuable info to such sites ahead of the release)
and I would now have been racing some good friends around the Bathurst
track in "The Pits" annual 1000 km race, online, in a warp free
environment in a Larry Perkins Racing Holden Commodore...........hey,
that's *my* dream
Beers and cheers
