Haven't red this ng for a few months so forgive me if I'm out of date.

Does GPL work properly with TNT now? Last I heard it worked but the
in-car view ran too slowly. Has it been fixed.

Just read a review of a 400mhz PII with one for 800 inc VAT. I'm
tempted to say the least.

Resolution 1152x768 training,in car veiw is a constant 18fps.
I didn't bother with a race but...
Dropping the res down to 640x480 didn't help as much as i thought 23fps.

If anyone would like some specific benchmark numbers just give me a yell.

Hmmm I get 36FPS constant in prctise and quite often in a race (as long as
there are not too many other cars about) with all details on On a V550 on a
PII 350 oc'd to 392. Methinks yr doin something not quite right! Running in
car at 1024x768

How do you do that? My Celeron. V2/12MB SLI doesn't come over 30fps in
800x600. What am I doing wrong?

You could try to oc it to 465.
I've just recently done that for someone with a boxed (retail) PII 350
on a Asus P2B at 133MHz/2V. The P2B takes care of the PCI clock
automatically. The thing didn't want to run on 112/392MHz because in
that case the PCI clock was too high (37MHz, can't change that on a P2B).
Don't forget to set your RAS/CAS settings to the highest (=slowest)
value.
Btw, the PII isn't sweating yet, maybe it could have gone even higher.

And it still works great!!!  (because he and I did it on my computer)
With thanks to Intell because they make their cpu's better than the original
speed. Because of the boxed version I have still 3 years warranty.  Don't
forget to cool it a bit more with an extra heatsink and cooling fan!
Ruud.

It's still not as good as it should be.  You can change a
setting in core.ini so only as little as 1/8 of the mirrors
get updated on each frame.  With this done I get
above 30 fps at 1024x768 most of the time during races.
I'm not too thrilled with how the rear-view mirrors look
with this setting; overall I like it about as much as using
my Pure3d (voodoo1) which must run in 640x480 to get
comparable framerates, but you get rull-speed mirrors.
