GPL Scrapyard update

there's a ***y great popup on my page[1], which I'm not at all happy
about. On the other hand, 9ug's facilities are well above average for a
free host, so I'm sticking with them for the moment.

As to the site itself, not a lot has changed. Pressure of work has
meant that GPLA+ is still stuck at v0.03 (I hope for not *too* much
longer), and the links page is still rather out of date (ditto).

There are two new links -

one to email me (note the dedicated Yahoo address - site-related email
is *much* more likely to be read there than at the X-Stream address,
which grows more unreliable by the day);

and the other to the all-new guestbook. Just a very basic affair
provided by 9ug themselves (can't be having with all that CGI mumbo-
jumbo), but you're all welcome :-)

One other thing: since I get 100 megs of webspace with a 9ug account, I
might well stick a few non-GPL things up there as well. Don't worry,
though - the GPL Scrapyard will definitely remain prominent.

[1] unless you get WebWasher, that is... (hint, hint)
[2] most definitely *not* a MS reference - my HTML code is an utter
mess, but it would be a hell of a lot worse if I let that thing
anywhere near it!

<snip>

Oops - this is a now pointless footnote, which came about because an
earlier draft of the post referred to the "front page" of the site.
Just so's you know :-)

So David, what is the GPLA? BTW, I have been using your Eagle/Spa setup for
a while now and it works well for me. Thanks!

Dowload it and see - it's only 100K! ;-) Seriously, GPL Assistant
(GPLA) is a frontend for GPL that allows you to set things like
graphical options, the number of AI cars, current track etc to avoid
messing about in GPL's own (rather cumbersome) menus.

GPLA Original was my first stab, which is OK but uses third-party
Delphi components, meaning I couldn't make it properly open source. GPL
Assistant Plus (GPLA+) is being written from scratch, entirely by me -
which is why it's taking so long! (and why I'm keeping GPLA Original
available).

Delighted to hear it :-)
