INCREDIBLE Track!!!
Whoa there, unless a new '67 sim comes out I wouldn't count on it. =)
Jason
Just did some laps at Spa in the Lister. Eau Rouge flat-out is
properly scary and a very nice threading the needle moment, even with
the neutral/tight default setup. Of course, if you set up the car so
it actually turns everywhere else on the track, you can kiss the
backend goodbye coming over the hill. =)

ISI seriously only has the track to do and the multi for the most part.
It's pretty much put down now. We can edit everything else (including the
physics).
But there is ABSOLUTELY no connection between them and us. No communication
whatsoever :(
The track camber is really off, but that's a problem with about every sim
that tries to model Magny-Cours. Even F1RC.

LOL... or maybe they are having a party as the original game's sales
are going up again ;-)

I don't think so. I think they are proud that their physics engine are
capable of doing this, and that the system is open and can be edited. EA did
share technical information about the new formats with simbin even before F1
2002 was released. And the F1 cars might not be as good as we wish because
of limited time, or the ones that makes decisions at EA might have been
thinking that F1 2002 would not sell more if the car modeling was refined,
so why spend more man-hours? That doesn't mean that the individual
programmer should feel ashamed, they delivered a fine product. The physics
model is probably good because the programmers take pride in their work, and
because their bosses don't have full insight into what exactly they are
doing and what's necessary (for good sales) and not, early in the process.
:)
I think it's outstanding that they have made such a fine sim.
After all the market is kids, grandparents (gift for kids), a few grown up's
that drive a few laps twice a year, and a tiny group of serious simracers.
But netcode would be fine.....
Jone.
I'm sure as hell not tieing the phone line up for a day or so to
d'load - is anyone offering a CD burn of the mod to ship in the UK?
I'll pay........
