I would say the best place is http://www.racesimcentral.net/;(actually it's the only
one !).

It's a Nascar sanctioned online series using Nascar 2.  There's more than
6000drivers there.  There is some drivers from the UK there.  You might need
to phone them to register (it cost a little fee per month).

What's your view on that?

I allready paid for:
- the game
- my modem
- my internet service provider
- my steering wheel

So I'll never ever pay for online ***!!
Never, never, never ,etc :-)

And like GPL and Half-Life, a 100% free service is very well posible !
Imho you either do it FREE or NOT AT ALL....

And I'm not angry :-)

Yes it's possible ;-)
But it's not as good as the NROS...

Free-services like VROC are excellent... but those ppl don't work full-time
on this.  The NROS is superior in all points to any other online racing
system on the market.  Just take Ubi's Game service.  8player max. Oh wow
<g>.

VROC is closer to the NROS.  Up to 20drivers, and it's GPL ! ;)      But
still you don't see 24drivers (could be easily more) with almost no-warp,
500people and + each day, NROS Nascar sanctioned series, GUI
personalization, rankings, statistics, user profiles, email account,
IROC-style racing, etc..

It's a company... still.

I seriously think you should check out http://www.racesimcentral.net/;  It's not
because its not free that it's not good.  At the opposite I shall say.

You wont race against SOME of the best sim-racers in the world then
either.

Just for Kicks try this:  Save up $40.00 or $20.00 bucks and sign up for
a 1 month or a 3 month subscription.  Price of one game.  Give it a shot
first and then really decide if it is worth it.  Maybe after a few
months of ***whoopings you may just like this service.  Have fun...
Hope to see you at least try it --- IMHO well worth it.

Bill / Amish on TEN

P.S.  Without Jure (Smokkinu3) online anymore, we need a few more
Foreign Arse's  (Inside Joke BTW).

What? Is this a joke? Heck, sign up with TEN for 5 FREE hours and spend
NOTHING if you don't like it.

BTW, it will be fun at first.  Then, after you get serious, the novelty
wears thin when you get crashed out of every other race by the Quake
players.  The key to having fun is to refrain from getting emotionally
wound up in TEN's superficial stats system.  It's as useless as punching
people out over Furbys.

Hi Frank,

(je m'adresse a toi en anglais parce que pour une raison obscure mes
messages en francais seulement ne se rendent pas jusqu'au serveur de
news - Est-ce qu'il y a un moderateur ou quoi?)

I was interested in racing online in the NROS, but there are some
points that I'd like to discuss with you, like how much it costs in
canadian dollars (au Quebec), is there any local server for our
region, can you race with no lag, and many other questions.

Thanks for your help!

Looks like you're getting exactly what you paid for.
