I enjoy F1-GP for realisism but also like a good arcade racer, and can say
that out of all the HOME (i.e. not incl. any arcade originals) games I've
played on I rank them like this:
(1) SCREAMER on the PC - easily the best
(2) Daytona USA on the Saturn - buggy but fast-ish and enjoyable
(3) Sega Rally on the Saturn - slow but the best graphics
(4) Ridge Racer on the Playstation - nice graphics, shame about the speed
I must state that I've only played on the PAL versions of the consoles mentioned
above, so bear in mind that the NTSC versions will be faster and therefore play
a bit better.
Further, my only experience of Screamer is on a P5-75Mhz in VGA. What it would be
like on a Pentium Pro 200MHz in SVGA defies thinking about.
If you haven't got Screamer BUY IT NOW!
David.
PS. I don't have any connection with *** Entertainment BTW, I just love the
game! :)
