I had the same problem with the default setting, it's too responsive yet
still doesn't feel right.  If you customize the wheel range (the default
range is about 70% of the full wheel range) it becomes too loose and more
importantly you really see the lack of correlation between wheel movement
and car response (not just slow but out of sync).  The control of the car is
just FUBAR.
