Agreed, but you must realize that for 3 years, folks here have been
dreaming and inventing the great features that the god-coder Crammond
would put into the next version of GP3.  In the meantime they have tried
every product released in hopes of staving off the wait for Crammond's
glorious new release.  They have suffered and in some cases suffered
greatly in their disappointment in the non-Crammond racing sims.  But
never fear.... salvation is on the horizon.... GP3 will be finished and
god-coder will deliver us from this evil horde of race sim coder
wannabes....  Some day soon...  All the while dreaming of the perfect
new and improved GP3 that will be their salvation....

Then wham bam flat on the ground on their faces when they find out that
GP3 ain't even close to all they believed and prayed it would be....  

That's a BIG disappointment.  It not only leaves them in the hands of
the evil horde of god-coder wannabes, it places Crammond in the same
league with god-coder wannabes....  In other words, they have discovered
that their god has feet of clay....  It hurts..... let them vent....

It comes from the Old Testament (Daniel 2:31-34).  It deals with an
image of a god with a head of gold, "his *** and his arms silver, his
belly and his thighs of brass, his legs of iron, his feet part of iron
and part of clay."  A stone struck "the feet that were iron and clay,
and brake [sic] them to pieces.  Then was the iron, the clay, the brass,
the silver and the gold broken to pieces together, and became like the
chaff of the summer threshing floors, and the wind carried them away."

The moral, of course, is that a fatal flaw can be the undoing of a man
and his career.
