I tried Kali tonite for first time with Nascar2
was pretty cool when latencies were low. Anyhow everytime I try to
exit N2 to get back to Win95, system locks up hard.
Any Ideas

Do you happen to have a Rendition based video card? There is a known
problem with them and Kali, though I've heard it happens with a few
other cards as well. Unfortunately there really is no solution other
than rebooting.

Another problem I have is that my Nascar2 chat has never worked. I can't see
anything I type out, and apparently nobody else can either. Anybody have this
problem?
This is not good ... I'm seeing the same problem and I don't even have to
be hooked up to Kali, just have a Dial-UP Internet connection open. :(

I have a Reactor card and this is an acceptable workaround for me. Go to a
MS-DOS box from Win95 and run KaliDOS. It's less convenient than Kali95 but
you can exit N1 and N2 and get back to Kali. Regular old batch files make it
pretty quick too.
I've tried DMADIAG but all I get is an error message.
Good luck.

Same problem here, I also have the Reactor card and when I exit N2 my
system locks hard. So far I've only been able to race against one person
and that was because he was the only one who's ping wasn't too high. I
guess my ISP has a slow connection to the net, because it's hard for me to
find someone with a raceworthy ping value.
I have also tried TEN with Quake and it was terrible, way to jumpy,
impossible to play. I don't know how the hell they are going to run N2 on
it.

If you want to race on Kali and you don't want to give up the superior
rendition graphics, and faster frame rates, then boot up in Win95 and using the
Start button restart in to MS-Dos Mode. You will have to use KaliDOS, which is
less convenient, but you can exit N1 and N2 and go right back to chat without
crashing or rebooting.

I had a problem getting this to run also. Something about the stub being
missing? When I put a copy of DOS4GW.EXE in the same path as Dmadiag, it
seems to work fine.
Same problem here. I'd like to try it with Kahn sometime if anybody
else has it. I tried running N2 with Kahn95 open and it didn't lock
up when I returned like it does with Kali. I haven't tried an actual
race though, haven't found anybody on Kahn that has N2.
If it works, maybe we could convince the Where to Race guys to set up
a Kahn server to go along with the Kali server. The way I understand
it, the Kahn server software is free, and they even give you the
source code. Would be a nice solution for us poor, DOS bound
rendition users <g>.

That's what I do. It seems to perform better with DOS Kali anyway.
