Anyone have fast car setups for Laguna Seca? I can't get as fast laptimes as with ICR1. I can't
maintain the same cornering speed trough the high speed turns, like 4 and 6. Turn 6 is flat out
at about 140 mph with icr1, but with icr2 i can't reach that speed. I'm only doing 120 mph.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm pretty sure that neither of those turns is flat-out with real Indy
cars. ICR2 just models the physics of racing better. I just tap the brake
lightly getting into both of those corners. This increases the contact
patch of the front tires so you don't push so badly. Don't get back into
the throttle until after the apex.

That's cuz you have 40% less downforce with a 1995 car than you did with
a 1993 car, among other things.

Definitely wasn't this last year - I stood at T6 for quite a while and
nobody was *** the gas there.

Actually you don't need to brake - all you need to do is to hit the setup
right and then LIFT at the right moment.  Indycars don't have enough downforce
to in effect be on the brakes when you life (like an F1 car does), but
they do have plenty for this trick.  This doesn't work in slow corners like
the hairpins at Vancouver because there isn't enough downforce at 40mph, but
at Laguna T6 there sure is.
