Thats strange that it's not working, I have 3 MSFF wheels, 1 gameport the
orig. 1 usb gray and 1 usb red. They all work great. I bought the red one
when I heard they were going to stop making them and have been using it
since, the other 2 are just sitting around for parts.. I've heard good
things about the Logitech DFP, but haven't tried it..

also consider the Thrusty Rally GT Pro FF.Ball bearing on the steer axis,
and it's 5 axis'.
I was considering the Momo Racing Force, but for the same price i got one of
these.So far so good.
5 axis' helps lots in RBR with clutch control on hairpin road sections in
France rally.

Hi Andy,

Also consider the Logitech Driving Force Pro (i think thats what its
called!).  Its the one that is meant to be for PS2, but it works great
on the PC.  Its the 900 degrees one (but you can set it to any number
of degrees).

Hope that helps!
All the best,
Ash

Forget the MOMO and get the D.F.P.
I've had both.

Conclusive proof ;)

DFP is sturdy, precise has good FF and has a vast array of buttons.

Is there anything better for 100ish?

Yeah.  One that will stay on my desk :)

Without the 3rd clamping leg the DFP is, unfortunately, useless to me.  What
were they thinking...

I have both wheels but could no longer use the MSSWFF because of
outdated drivers.  Any way, the MOMO does seem to lose FF now and then
and doesn't seem as reliable in that regards as my old MS wheel.  I
also liked the feel of the MS wheel a little better.

Just got a DFP too, like it quite a lot so far apart from the pedals,
but these will hopefully be replaced by my then-usb-converted TSW2
pedals. The wheel itself is great, I am even beginning to actually like
the FF effects!

I paid 75 Euros for my DSP + 10 Euros shipping in Germany.

cheers, uwe

Had the same problem with the DFP, but wasn't prepared do get rid of it.
So I asked my brother to make me a clamp like this :

which attach to the table like this:
http://img521.imageshack.us/my.php?image=200602050031sr.jpg
On top of that bolted a piece of wood, with a overhang large enough to cater
for the DFP's miserable 2 clamps, like this :

Clamp with attached wheel slides easily to the left when not in use. Problem
solved

Yip, that wheel is going nowhere (not off the table OR back to the shop).
Similiar in concept to the one on the Saitek R440, but this one is STEEL !
Indestructible....
