I started running the demo after downloading it late last Saturday. Spent 3 or
4 hours on Sunday trying to figure out how to steer a car with a SideWinder 3D
Pro Joystick. I finally gave up for the day in disgust. After posting to this
newgroup I recieved a couple of emails trying to help. One of them was from
Eric on the Microsoft team. I also tried to read all the postings on this
 group. Thanks everyone for trying!

It is now Thursday morning, and I have given up on the game. I cant steer the
car!  I tried calibrating, adjusting wings, increasing and decreasing both
linearity and speed sensitive steering, and just trying to baby the joystick
into keeping the car on the track. I can only compare the game to GP2, but, at
least there I can keep the car on the track, and even win a race now and
 again.

I like the graphics of CPR although I am not into measuring "frame rates" or
watching bridges get drawn (I figure I should be watching the track, not the
 scenery).

I really wanted to like this product. Maybe I will once the final version is
released. Racing on an oval sounds like it might be fun! But, until I can
control the car I will have to pass.

Once again, Thanks to everyone who tried to help!
Best of luck to everyone on the developement team!

Sincerely,
B.B.

Well, for you the game (trial version) seems to be perfect, doesn't it?
