I was just looking over some of the new teams and paint jobs for the 1998
Winston Cup season and thinking about how much more enjoyable my sim racing has
been with the 1997 cars from IWCCCARS. Their cars are so well done that
sometimes I forget that people did this for free and many of these cars were
not included in the original game. If any of you are out there, thanks for your
hard work and I hope you will be so kind and generous as to continue to enhance
my enjoyment of NASCAR2 as the next racing season begins in a few weeks.

Brian

Also thanks to Dane Johnson for N2HQ and Tom Hansen for his AI improvements.

Absolutely, and while we are at it...Thanks to Eric Busch who has helped me
out on several occasions despite not knowing me from Adam, and thanks to all
the guys who put the tome in to run series, both offline and online. Thanks
for giving us a great place to race. This is great community and we forget
how much we get for free....

Thanks
Lou B.

I still get around to r.a.s occasionally, don't know about the rest of the
IWCCCARS team. Glad to hear you like the cars.

The team is working on the '98 cars now.

Hi,
The sim racing community is great!  I'am amazed at how many good
sim racing sites there are! (custom cars, setups, etc.)  I enjoy the
IWCCARS WC and BGN cars for N2, they make the game just that much more
realistic!  When I bought the GN Expansion Pack I didn't even look at
the cars Papryus made (Sorry Papy! :)) and I went straight to the
IWCCARS site and downloaded the set of 1997 BGN cars!  I'am looking
forward to seeing the 1998 cars!  Actually, on a different note, I'am
taking an Internet Course at University (Learning about the history
and the workings of the internet, WWW, USENET, etc). One of the
questions in my first assignment is to choose 10 hobby sites for a
particular interest and to write about how they could be useful to
someone with simular interests.  I'll probably write about sim racing
sites  At least I have lots of great sites to choose from! (If you
want your site included send me your pitch now! <g> :))

Later,
John

I just wanted to say thanks to these guys who put so much effort and time
into painting these cars and increasing my enjoyment of N2.  Keep up the
great work and I'll be looking for the complete 98 carset.

I was thinking the same thing too.  I have been curious though as to why it seems
there have been no updates at IWCCCARS in about two months.  Now, don't get me
wrong, I'm not going to start giving them ***for seeming to have been doing
nothing for two months, I know they have other stuff to do other than sit at home
and paint cars all day.  I'm just wondering when to expect to see some 1998 paint
schemes.  Is the plan to released them all at once or what?  I'm also wondering if
there will be a Craftsman Truck set this year as I was disappointed that there was
no IWCC set for the trucks in '97.  I'll be checking the site out about everyday
hoping to see something new.

Thanks,
Evan Vick

I use the Alan Kulwicki Hooter's car. I also have downloaded the Allison
white/gold/black #28. I plan on downloading a few more real soon. Driving
special K's car is the best tribute to my fallen hero I can think of though. If
you did these cars then a big thank you for you too.   :-)

I LOVE their cars.  I think they do the best quality job out there.  I
dont mind waiting a few extra weeks to get the quality they offer.  My
personal car is the Davey Allison white/black/red/gold #28 reworked to
#20.  For BGN I changed the sponsor from Havoline to The Husted Group.
I even use that paint scheme on my TPTCC car... although the numbering
is much different of course =)  That car is my all time favorite NASCAR
car.. pure beauty.

I would like to get the all Black Havoline car that Davey drove before
he died and the numbers were gold... not bright red.  Anyone know if
that car is around ??

Scott

Papyrus should just hire IWCCCARS to do paintjobs for the cars on all
their sims.

This is one of the main reasons I have stayed with Sim Racing as a whole.  I
used to be into the Front Page Sports: Simulations, but got very discouraged
when the creators of the utilities and such started charging $10-$30 for each
utililty.  I never bought one and never will.  That's why I started discouraged
when they were charging $30 for the track converter.  I was pleased with them
lowering the price to $15, but still nothing beats free. :)  But I got it any
way as I love Touring Car racing and the extra tracks do nothing but add to the
game. :)

No the real reason is that Dave Sparks is too busy running the OSCAR league
to be able to update the site.
