My board would take up to a 1.2 I believe. The reason the unit as a whole
is getting *old* (damn technology) is because I decided against upgrading
anything after adding the last bit of RAM.
One day soon I will hit a local show and pick up the various pieces or find
a guy with a good base setup put together reasonbly and get back in the
present :-) In PA. , They decided to promote computer sales by having a
tax free month a few years ago. It has now become tradition it seems and I
plan to be buying this February. I like to buy case/power/mobo/processor as
a piece and go from there.
As for game play, that is what usually drives me to the store. When the
games minimums start matching or beating my system it's time.
Most games I like, flying, racing, first person have required me to lower
video settings for about a year now. They still run ok but some of you
will remember the troubles I would have in rascar if the connection was
slow, I also think the number of 56k connections causes my system to get
real jumpy trying to draw the cars in NR2k3. Still not real sure what that
was all about cause I can race papy ok.
