Setups-Daytona

There are two setups for Daytona, one for day, one for night loaded at news.mho***.com under general.discussion.

I am trying to work on some setups that would be more stable then fast, and more to the general liking than the default setups that came with the game.  Unless I fall stricken with boredom or failure, I have decided to take the time to complete the WC schedule.  All setups will be tested with a full field of AI using the carset from http://www.racesimcentral.net/% strength, 1X, Random weather, 40% race length, no qualifying.

I use an ECCI but I have the springs fairly tight so hopefully those with less expensive wheels should not feel too much of a difference.

Both setups were set up to allow you to enter T1 and exit T4 from the low line side by side without pushing, and also be able to control it in the middle of the turns.
Your water temp should get to 220 fairly quickly but it should also stay there.
There is a problem with the LR tire temps for the night version getting kinda high for me.  But so far, everything I've tried to fix it with altered the ability to enter T1 low once the tires heated up, or started to go away.

If you want to use one for a 70d league or race I suggest the night version since I've purposly set both up with as much tape as possible to increase the use of an outside line.

I think the setups that came with the game are good enough but I just thought I'd scoop up some suppport for finding setups the general public could use as well.  This is in no way a statement of any kind on the work Papyrus put into the setups done there.

Feel free to share them, and your comments, but if you can improve the stability in them, not necessarily the speed, with 40% races in mind, please share what you changed.

Thanks

Hey Tim,
Why don't you share these with us RASCAR guys?
I think Ed has a files section on the RASCAR page.
Can you post them on the RASCAR forum?

Thx

I'm getting some feedback that these are still loose for some, tho they turn better.

There's a difference between being loose and the car 'wandering'.
How you can tell which is which is after the tires wear a bit.  If the car tightens up for you after the tires settle in, its not a wandering problem, other wise it is.

If its wandering, raise the toe-in ONE click at a time.
If its loose, raise the front sway bar, or lower the rear sway bar ONE click at a time, one bar at a time.

If you change anything else you may alter the cars ability to turn.

jmo, tho try it :)
