Just Purchased F1RS...

Hey,

Just bought a Diamond Monster II 8MB and F1RS, trading in a bunch of
non-played games.  My God, I still, after 4 or so hours of play, CANNOT
BELIEVE THE GRAPHICS QUALITY!  Granted, this is my first exposure to 3DFX
(and acutally, also my first exposure to high-res; I had been playing GP2 in
320x200 on my old 586...I now have a K6-266), but I cannot see any pixels
(read: hard lines - everything's smoothed over) on the cars, ads, scenery
(except trees)!  And the driving model is just what I wanted!  The car
handles like I would think a real F1 machine does!  I cannot stop talking
about this game!  I've already had to replace my keyboard, what with all the
drool! :-)

Thanks to everyone who urged me to go out and make the 3DFX purchase!

I guess I'm now in the F1RS fanclub!  Splendid job, UbiSoft!

I felt the same way when I got my Vodoo 1 Monster 3d.  I had F1RS for about
a month with my Intense 3D 4meg card it was jerky and not too much fun.
Just recently, I got my 1st 3dfx card, ($99) then a $30 rebate makes it $69.
I reloaded F1RS, and I couldnt believe the difference.  Everything was
smooth and it felt like what I thought an F1 car would feel like.  Definetly
a world of difference with 3dfx!

I agree, the game was unplayable until I purchased 12mb voodoo2......well
worth the expense. Now about downloading.....have you had any luck
installing new***pits? I've tried all of the editors and installers all
with no luck. When I can drive a 98 Williams without a blue***pit I'll be
happy              D. Noe
