It was down to $30 at Wal Mart here today.  I am pretty darn sure that the
Rage II is not going to give you 3d acceleration, but it will probably run
in software mode (slower and not as nice to look at).  I have never run the
game in software mode, so I can't tell you how it will look.

As far as the speed of your computer, how long have you had it?  Call the
tech support number, read them the serial number, and they will be able to
tell you how fast it is.  Do you have any budget at all for a video card?

Unless, of course, you have a Rage chipset.  I do, and I make good use of
it, but thankfully I have a  Monster 2/12 for games.

so it will run anyway? at least decently playable?i will sacrifice!!
 as for vid cards..i am sure i could get one if needed, but i really would
prefer not to spend a LOT of Xtra $ just to play this one game although i
really think it would be lots of fun!! if it is playable(on my cpu), i may go
ahead and get wheel/pedals setup as well.. but see that is still optional..i
need to know i can play it first ;) (and $30 is a great price!)
a friend had told me he got TestDrive5 for his cpu..and turned out he needed a
3D chip which cost almost $300!! i told him go buy a psx and that game for that
price..and he did ! :))
i dont want to make the same mistake by buying this and cant play..

for such a good looking game i will now have to give up my hopes. ;(
ive found out that my system will not run fast enough for Nascar99. this news
comes from the place i bought it from..which i am sure they are correct about
it.
you can bet i sure would have enjoyed playing this ...having w-cup AND busch-gn
AND the ctrucks all in one!!
..what a DREAM game!!!
